Shop comments:
The owner and abuser of this machine has had the right idea all along. This is a great example of a highly balanced vehicle. What we like to consider, purposfully built. With a Gran Touring car philosiphy. An equalizing parts list to control high speeds. The power additions are collected, regulated, and applied by the chassis components. With the right ammount of driver accessories, interior civillity (full power interior. w/AC), and driveability to take comfortably on long road trips! Besides, its a blast to drive! Its powerful, agile, and its hammered on the ground tuckin' sidewall. In the begining of the project: The Car came to me in rubbermaids. Some other "qualified tech" removed the engine/trans and managed to brake and damage most of the accessories that were removed. I took over the build. Then the first "qualified engine builder" sent us a steaming pile, heads and all. The 3SX turbies gave us hell. They kept losing the seals! So the engine came back out, and was reworked by Cylindar Head Express. The turbos were also addressed by replacing the works with the stock units and lines. It hit the road late season, without issue @ 312 whp on stock turbos - 92 octane. The owner has plans to run a 15g set and the rest to go with. Hopfully on pump gas!!!!
