Shop comments:
I was approached by the owner to finish this swap. I had previous experience stretching the RHD harness. So he towed it into the shop, and we got started. The yota' was purchased with the engine "placed" (used loosely) by the previous owner, in the bay with no connections otherwise. And lots missing from the engine and the engine bay. Its a super clean rust free body with little to no damage and a complete interior from Texas. The owner had massed a sizeable parts list of what he knew he needed/wanted. The rest of the missing or needed conversion parts were sourced from the dealer. Not to much trouble at all. We did what was necessary to put together a solid base swap install. Giving the JDM block the clean O.E look. It ran great, made good power, and sounds outstanding. Its a clean and rare vehicle/engine combo for the area. And we think its keeper.
